THE ARCADE
“There is a procedure for things like this. I've made my intentions clear and either you reciprocate or you don’t.”
Set in the neon sprawl of a suburban shooting gallery, The Arcade is a bittersweet two-hander about misfired timing, teenage longing, and the rituals of goodbye. Karolina, a German exchange student, tries to coax shy and stubborn Stuart back to the school formal—but he's not leaving until he wins a slime green lava lamp.
Funny, sharp, and quietly devastating, the play captures that suspended moment between adolescence and everything after.

Praise for The Arcade
“Lewis Treston’s Starlight Plaza, whereby a German exchange student vies for attention from her formal date, was hilarious and incisive.” – Honi Soit
